PattyB released this lovely kit just days after I returned from a trip to Galveston, Texas. We spent a rainy afternoon following a "trail" of historic homes in the East End historical district of Galveston. Many of these lovely homes were impacted by the most recent hurricane "Ike" in September, 2008. There are still lots of homes being remodeled due to damages incurred during the storm. Many of the home show "high water marks." Many of the trees damaged by the wind and water have been turned into amazing works of art! I love the indomitable spirit of Galveston Island, Texas.
Here is one of the beautiful East End homes, sitting serenely on a corner, and not revealing any secrets from the past!
