My layouts using this fun collection

My favorite lighthouse in the Outer Banks!  I climbed this one (the tallest brick lighthouse in the world) on May 10, 2009! The view from the top was amazing ... long stretches of clean, sandy beaches and sparkling Atlantic waters!  I couldn't resist "framing" the layout with those cool palm trees, although there wasn't a palm tree anywhere to be seen in North Carolina!

My second layout features one of my favorite photos:  Mike & poki on a leisurely walk on the beach on Ocracoke Island, North Carolina!  We've been to the island twice (2008, and 2009) both times off season, and we've pretty much had the beach to ourselves both times! Mike's sister Pat took this photo of us with my camera!  What a fabulous memory!

My great nephews never knew their great-great grandmother, but they certainly do know her sugar cookies:  by using her tools (cookie cutters) and her techniques (colored sugar sprinkles)

My sister is the perfect NANA to her FABULOUS grandkids - Can you tell I like them too (she shares them with me since I don't have grandchildren)

GDS Collab August 2016 SUMMER'S END

The August 2016 collab from the talented designers at Go Digital Scrapbooking is called

I love the warm, rich color palette - complimentary to Texas summer or autumn photos!  Layout #1 features SUMMER'S END kit + Lissy Kay Designs template included in the collab.  I love that frame technique!  It creates a fabulous leading line to focus directly on the photo!

Layout #2 shows off my favorite spot for taking Autumn sunset pictures.  (I hope we'll be able to get there by Autumn - right now the road is UNDERWATER from flooding earlier this year.  Lake Belton is primarily flood control for down the Brazos Valley, so our water has been high all summer!)
